The Secret Life of Secret Life, The Secret, Personality, Mbti. Visit How INTJs See The World (INTJ) - Life Reaction Intj Personality, Introvert. I've read the four pages about INTJ vs. INTP and the take home message is that it's very difficult to separate introverted intuition from introverted. belly. Views. 3 years ago. It doesnt help that they tend to space out when people begin to discuss the boring stuff, either. With practice, INTJs become skilled at nodding and making responsive noises at appropriate times, while internally wondering whether dolphins have language or thinking about how Star Wars breaks the laws of physics.

They do not intercept half the personal information poured upon them, and they easily forget what they do hear because they find it rather uninteresting. A popular ice breaking activity has each person in a group share their name and a personal detail about themselves. INTJs dont like sharing personal details about themselves, but if compelled Will this exercise help the INTJ get to know the rest of the group?

Shortly after the exercise is over, they will wipe every name and personal detail from their brain.

This is a phenomenon that actually applies to all INTs. As an INTP, I went on a school trip with about a dozen strangers whose names and faces got all jumbled up in my mind.

One of these people was a young woman from South America who wouldnt eat pig meat because members of her family had been murdered by guerrillas and the corpses subsequently devoured by the pigs on the farm where they lived. A couple days later I was having breakfast and a young woman standing next to me said that she didnt want to eat her bacon.

Eagerly I volunteered to eat it, but then she uncomfortably said that she would eat itand did, though later she said she felt ill and regretted it. Sometime later I put these two facts together. In middle school I had a red-haired friend in gym and science. One day I decided to jump out from behind the bleachers and scare her. During science class I reminded her of what had happened, but she didnt seem to understand. She insisted that the incident hadnt happened, and that I didnt have gym class with her.

It turned out that I actually had two red-haired friends. Another person whose 6 Keirsey, name I can no longer recall was shocked when I gestured at him and referred to him as whats-hisname.

They are often acutely aware of their own knowledge and abilities—as well as their limitations and what they don't know a quality that tends to distinguish them from INTPs.

INTJs thus develop a strong confidence in their ability and talents, making them natural leaders. In forming relationships, INTJs tend to seek out others with similar character traits and ideologies.

Agreement on theoretical concepts is an important aspect of their relationships. By nature INTJs can be demanding in their expectations, and approach relationships in a rational manner.

As a result, INTJs may not always respond to a spontaneous infatuation but wait for a mate who better fits their objective criteria. They tend to be stable, reliable, and dedicated.

Harmony in relationships and home life tends to be extremely important to them. They generally withhold strong emotion and do not like to waste time with what they consider irrational social rituals.

This may cause non-INTJs to perceive them as distant and reserved; nevertheless, INTJs are usually very loyal partners who are prepared to commit substantial energy and time into a relationship to make it work. As mates, INTJs want harmony and order in the home and in relationships. The most independent of all types, [14] INTJs trust their intuition when choosing friends and mates—even in spite of contradictory evidence or pressure from others. At times, INTJs seem cold, reserved, and unresponsive, while in fact, they view emotional expression as an irrational weakness.

In social situations, INTJs may also be unresponsive and may neglect small rituals designed to put others at ease. For example, INTJs may communicate that idle dialogue such as small talk is a waste of time. This may create the impression that the INTJ is rude or in a hurry—an impression that is not always intended, and may not be true at all.

In their interpersonal relationships, INTJs are usually better in a working situation than in a recreational situation.

A type's background color represents its Dominant function, and its text color represents its Auxiliary function. Drawing upon Jungian theory, Isabel Myers proposed that for each personality type, the cognitive functions sensing, intuition, thinking, and feeling form a hierarchy.

This was a huge error. I'm not sure what researches conducted this. As I mentioned, cognitive functions and MBTI has an intricate logical framework--everything has a distinct meaning.

Like how each of the 16 personality types come with stereotypes, this study asked experts to stereotype and apply generic associations to the functions. They redefined the functions in their own eyes and didn't incorporate the functions original definitions. Essentially, the results have no bearing. Stripes are lines by definition. Let's talk about black stripes and gather some professionals to describe that stripes can be zebras, bar codes, on shirts, on cats, and evoke the feeling of anger.

These attributes can be relevant in certain contexts, but they don't define that a stripe is a line and black is the absorption or absence of all colors depending on if it's made of paint or by blocking light. Frankly, despite my affinity for the cognitive functions and Moss's lack of support for the argument that the functions don't matter, I didn't miss them. There was plenty more information to gobble up and the rest was reasonable and cited by interesting studies that did make sense.

I may be a little biased. You see, the title suggests that the book will demystify the mysterious, never-before-unraveled enigma of the inside workings of an INTJ mind. Nothing whatsoever about our 'secret lives'.

Whether that religion takes the form of a mainstream belief system or a modern day version of Deism is a different story. The INTJ is unusual in their combination of intuition and thinking.
